What are On Call RN Observation Unit nurses?

On Call RN Observation Unit nurses are registered nurses who work in hospital observation units on an as-needed, or 'on call,' basis. On Call RNs provide critical assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care to ensure patient safety and facilitate timely discharges. Their flexible schedules help hospitals manage fluctuating patient volumes and ensure continuous, high-quality care.
