CommQuest is seeking Full-Time, Part-time, and PRN (on-call) Recovery Support Specialist I & II to work at our residential and detox facilities in Massillon, Ohio. The Recovery Support Specialist provides direct supervision and support to residents in a residential treatment setting to ensure a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented environment. This role supports clinical programming by monitoring client behavior, promoting accountability, facilitating daily activities, and ensuring compliance with program rules and safety standards. The position plays a critical role in maintaining the security, structure, and therapeutic integrity of the residential program.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure safety, security, and structure within the residential environment
  • Provide direct client supervision and behavioral support
  • Support client recovery programming and daily engagement
  • Support program operations and mentorship
  • All other duties as assigned

Schedule:

Shifts available:

We have Full-time, 12 hour shifts, and Part-time shifts available. Shifts schedules are from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Shift differential for midnight shifts!

PRN (on-call) consists of a minimum of of 4 shifts per month as needed for days, afternoons, midnights and/or weekends. There is a shift differential for midnight shifts!

Minimum Qualifications:  Recovery Support Specialist I

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
  • One (1) year of experience in behavioral health, addiction services, residential treatment, human services, or related field preferred
  • Ability to obtain Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification within one (1) year of hire, if not already credentialed
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving record in accordance with agency policy
  • Proof of current automobile insurance (if transporting clients)
  • Availability to work assigned shifts, including required weekend and holiday rotations
  • Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
  • Individuals in recovery, must have a minimum of one year of sobriety and practice firm boundaries with clients

Minimum Qualifications: Recovery Support Specialist II

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two (2) years of experience in behavioral health, addiction services, residential treatment, human services, or related field preferred
  • Active Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification required at time of hire
  • CDCA certification must remain in active, good standing with the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board as a condition of maintaining the Recovery Support Specialist II level
  • Failure to maintain active CDCA status may result in reclassification to Recovery Support Specialist I and adjustment to the corresponding RSS I pay range until credential status is restored
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving record in accordance with agency policy
  • Proof of current automobile insurance (if transporting clients)
  • Availability to work assigned shifts, including required weekend and holiday rotations
  • Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
