Job description

Rapid Response RN

The Rapid Response RN collaborates with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the medical and nursing plans of care. This individual makes independent judgement/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues, operating under guidelines of the Rapid Response Team. The Rapid Response RN provides house wide support for assessments, Code Blue events, sepsis codes, and a variety of staff needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years to 5 years of experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

  • BLS/ACLS
  • One of the following:
    • Current Alabama RN license
    • Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*
  • CCRN certification within 1 year of placement into position

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

Desired Qualifications:

  • BSN/MS degree in Nursing
