Job description

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the Phlebotomist collects and processes blood samples for the Clinical Laboratory. Performs waived POC testing as needed Performs clerical duties and other routine duties as assigned. Works at health fairs, to meet the needs of the health system.  Participates in training of new Phlebotomists and students. Maintains the standards set forth in CLIA-88. On-call duties as assigned. 
Education:  High School graduate or GED preferred.  Completion of approved Phlebotomy training is required.
Licensure/Certification: BLS required
Experience:  None required. 
Skills:  Must have excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
