Burnett Medical Center is currently looking for a Laboratory Manager that fulfills the CLIA General Supervisor role in a critical access hospital.


HOURS & SHIFTS:

Full time position, includes on-call hours M-F and some weekends.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and regulatory compliance of the Burnett Medical Center laboratory. This role ensures safe, accurate, timely, and cost-effective laboratory testing in compliance with CLIA, CMS Conditions of Participation, Wisconsin state regulations, and hospital policies. The Laboratory Manager provides administrative, operational, quality, and personnel oversight while maintaining readiness for regulatory surveys and inspections.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field required.
  • Certification as a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS/MT) or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical laboratory experience, including supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare setting strongly preferred

LICENSURE & CERTIFICATION:

  • Current national laboratory certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent).
  • Meets CLIA requirements for General Supervisor role.
  • Eligible to work in the State of Wisconsin.
