Looking for a meaningful way to serve your community? Consider becoming an on-call firefighter with the Big Lake Fire Department!
This is a competitive opportunity. To ensure timely emergency response, all on-call firefighters must reside within a designated area of the City of Big Lake or Big Lake Township. Selected candidates must complete approximately 200 hours of required training during their probationary period. Training covers fire suppression, search and rescue, emergency medical response, hazardous materials, and more.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age of 18
• Valid Minnesota Class D driver's license
• Must live within 7 miles of the Big Lake Fire Station
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings, including a physical exam
Rate of Pay: Starting at $16.50 per hour
