Job PurposeThe
Internal Audit Data Analytics & Innovation Specialist enhances the effectiveness, efficiency, and risk coverage of the Internal Audit function by leveraging data analytics, automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies. This role partners with internal audit teams, business stakeholders, and IT to design and implement data-driven audit procedures, strengthen SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance and drive continuous improvement in audit methodologies across a global manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute data analytics procedures to support internal audits, including SOX testing, operational audits, and risk assessments
- Partner with audit teams to translate business risks into data-driven audit tests, identifying trends, anomalies, and control gaps
- Design, build, and maintain scalable analytical solutions, including dashboards, automated tools, and reporting (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python, etc.)
- Design and implement automation and AI-driven solutions, including bots and RPA (Robotic process automation), to drive efficiency and enable continuous auditing
- Analyze large datasets from ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Databricks) and other platforms to assess process effectiveness, control compliance, and risk exposure
- Support audit planning through risk analytics, data profiling, and trend analysis
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of Internal Audit methodologies, standards, and best practices
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and proper documentation of analytical procedures and outputs
- Provide guidance and enablement to internal audit teams on data analytics tools, capabilities, and best practices
Experience Required- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in: Data Analytics / Business Intelligence / Internal Audit
- Experience working with large datasets and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Databricks)
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python)
- Familiarity with audit methodologies, risk frameworks, and control testing
- Experience in cross-functional and global environments
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree or advanced certifications
- Experience with continuous auditing / continuous monitoring techniques
- Background in global manufacturing / industrial environment
- Understanding of end-to-end business processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Inventory, etc.)
- Professional certifications like CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.
- Experience with audit analytics or GRC platforms
Pay TransparencyThe annual salary for this role is $74,625 - $114,425 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
