Job description

TBest Services is seeking a dedicated Water and Fire Damage Restoration Technician to join our client's team. This hands-on position involves various restoration tasks, including water extraction, carpet and insulation removal, drywall removal, equipment setup (air movers and dehumidifiers), and moisture monitoring. Previous restoration experience is a plus, but we provide certification training for all employees.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform water extraction and remove damaged materials such as carpet, insulation, and drywall.
  • Set up and monitor restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers).
  • Work effectively with team members and communicate clearly with customers.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
 
Qualifications:
  • Previous restoration experience is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and with customers.
 
Schedule:
  • Flexible work hours with varying daily schedules.
  • Possible workdays range from 8 hours to over 12 hours, with a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 32 hours of work per week (Monday through Sunday).
  • Standard working hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Additional hours available for those interested.
  • Overtime pay (time and a half) for hours worked over 40 per week and for after-hours work (if chargeable to the customer).
  • $50 bonus plus hourly wage for accepting after-hours jobs when not on call.
 
Compensation:
  • Hourly pay ranges from $18 based on experience, certifications, and skills.
  • Certification training provided at no cost.
  • Access to overtime and after-hours bonuses.
 
Transportation:
Access to a company vehicle may be provided, or personal vehicle use may be required to meet the foreman at job sites or our warehouse in Halethorpe, Maryland.
