Job description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be the face of National Oilwell Varco at customer locations. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the successful installation, commissioning, and operation of our products, offering comprehensive training and support. This role is vital in maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service, contributing to the overall success of our business.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required, with an AA Degree in a technical field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of technical experience, ideally in the oil and gas industry, is essential for this role.
  • Candidates must be 21 years of age or older with a valid US Driver's license.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with a rotational schedule, is a key requirement, including the ability to work 12+ hour days.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas field components, including software and hardware, is necessary for effective support.
  • An electrical background is preferred, providing an advantage in understanding and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Willingness to be on-call and respond to emergencies, demonstrating a strong commitment to customer support.
  • All applicants must pass comprehensive background checks, driving record checks, drug screenings, and physical examinations.
