Mobile Phlebotomist / Paramedical Examiner (Insurance Exams – Per Diem)
Location: Clark Summit, PA (Serving Scranton, Clarks Summit, Dunmore, Dickson City, Pittston & surrounding Lackawanna County areas)
Job Type: Per Diem / Independent Contractor

Job Summary:
Exam One World Wide / DKN Paramedical Services, an affiliate of ExamOne a subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics, is seeking experienced mobile phlebotomists or medical assistants to perform insurance paramedical exams and specialty blood draws in the Clarks Summit and greater Scranton area. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy independent field work, flexible scheduling, and one-on-one patient care.
Responsibilities:
  • Travel to client homes and offices - 20 mile radius from your home is required.
  • Perform paramedical insurance exams including health history questionnaires, vitals, blood draw, urine collection, resting EKG on rare occasions, and Specialty Blood Draws for DNA, Genetic testing, clinical trials, medication usage, etc., and can also do Quest Mobile Home draws if close to the Scranton Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Center.
  • Label, process, and prepare specimens for shipment.
  • Complete documentation and accurately use an iPad if given one because you choose to cover a territory beyond a 20-mile radius from your home and there is a need in your territory for iPad Part II's to be completed.
  • Maintain professionalism and punctuality with scheduled appointments.
  • Follow HIPAA and chain-of-custody procedures.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years recent phlebotomy experience.
  • Minimum 100 successful venipunctures.
  • Comfortable with hand sticks and difficult draws.
  • Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, or clinical background required.
  • Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • Smartphone/tablet proficiency.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred:
  • Insurance or paramedical exam experience or working in a lab drawing blood.
  • EKG experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • Early morning availability.

Schedule:
  • Set your own availability.
  • Weekday mornings preferred (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM peak demand) 2-3 days per week is preferred and 1 Saturday morning a month is required.
  • Occasional afternoons/evenings if you are available.
  • No minimum hours required.

Compensation:
  • For exam services - based on a fee-per-case structure.
  • Service fees after 30 day probation period Average $25.00 to $50.00 depending on the services required.
  • Paid twice monthly - E-checks are emailed to you.
  • Local routing to minimize travel - required to cover a 20-mile radius from your home, beyond that mileage is compensated (discussed during an interview).

Exam One World Wide/DKN Paramedical Services is an affiliate office and has an office in Allentown, PA  We have been servicing the insurance industry for over 40 years and cover approximately 12+ counties in Northeastern PA .  We also handle specialty blood draws, staff Wellness Events, and do Mobile Quest Home draws for Quest Diagnostics which are dropped off at their local Patient Service Center.
