ON-CALL, FULL-TIME CAREGIVER - VALDOSTA
Great opportunity for a Caregiver to get 40 hours guaranteed pay per week. LOCAL STATE OF GEORGIA CANDIDATES ONLY, please.
IMPORTANT: You must be able to work weekdays, evenings, overnights and some weekends on an as needed, on-call basis.
Caregiver benefits include:
  • Guaranteed Hours - guarantee that you will be paid for a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Sick Leave - 6 days (48 hours) paid PTO/sick leave time per year, available in full after 60 days in the position
  • Opportunity to participate in company 401K
  • Weekly Schedule - you receive your schedule on a weekly basis from the Scheduling Department

Eligibility - In order to be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
  • MUST have a minimum of one year or more hands-on experience with Assisted Care
  • Working with members of your family members counts as experience
  • Must be trained and willing to provide all types of services that a client may require, including home management tasks, personal care tasks, and nurse-delegated tasks.
  • Must be willing to work with all types of clients, including males, females, couples/spouses, and clients that might have special circumstances or exhibit challenging behavior (such as Alzheimer's or dementia).
  • Must be willing to work with clients that smoke and/or have pets.
  • Must be willing to drive to see a client in any part of our service territory (no exceptions).
  • There will also be times in this position that you are on standby, which means you will need to be available to work as needed.

Caregiver duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Companionship and conversation
  • Stabilization and assistance with walking
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Running errands and providing transportation
  • Accompanying clients to appointments
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Alzheimer's Care

Caregiver requirements:
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
