       SUBSTITUTE - ON CALL  POSITION: Digital Media & Instructional Materials Technician  TYPE: On call as needed. These positions work Monday-Friday.  COMPENSATION: Range 7; Schedule M; Step 1: $29.53 Hourly TYPE OF RECRUITMENT: This is an OPEN recruitment to establish a list of substitutes for the classification of Digital Media & Instructional Material Technician (Substitute). 
No effort will be made to maintain a rank order of the applicants (P.C. Rule 60.100.5).

TESTING PROCEDURE: The examination process will consist of a written and/or performance examination. Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.   DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision of the Digital Media Specialist or designee, perform a variety of technical and specialized functions related to the Digital Media Center and digital resources; assist Digital Media Center patrons in the use of digital and computer resources; manage library and instructional materials to include inventory, record keeping, processing, circulation, ordering, and recovery of physical materials; provide technical support to school site staff and students; and serves as liaison between school site and district-level technology support staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education:
Two (2) years of college level coursework, preferably in library science or information technology. 
Experience:
Two (2) years of clerical experience, including one year of working experience with school age students, preferably within a library/textbook environment. Experience using a personal computer, associated peripheral equipment, and basic computer applications is required.
