Job description

Senior Doctor

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular medical check-ups and screenings for crew members onboard the cruise ship
  • Diagnose and treat any medical conditions or injuries that may arise
  • Provide emergency medical care in case of accidents or emergencies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all crew members
  • Educate crew members on health and safety practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with the ship's captain and other medical staff to ensure the overall health and safety of the crew
  • Monitor and order medical supplies and equipment as needed
  • Conduct health and safety training for crew members as required
  • Stay updated on medical advancements and best practices in the maritime industry

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid medical license and certification to practice as a doctor
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a doctor, preferably in a maritime or remote setting
  • Strong diagnostic and treatment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in emergency medicine and trauma care
