This is not a short-term contract role, this is a full-time position with a growing organization committed to supporting surgical teams nationwide.

✈️ Travel & Location Requirements

This is a high-travel position supporting hospital implementations across the country. To ensure seamless deployment, candidates must live within 45–60 minutes of a major airport with strong national flight access.

If you love being on the move and are excited by the opportunity to work in new hospitals and healthcare environments, this role was built for you. Our Traveling Technicians serve as frontline ambassadors during new site launches, playing a critical role in delivering operational excellence and supporting surgical teams from day one.

What You’ll Do:

  • Travel across assigned territories to support new hospital accounts in both the operating room and sterile processing departments.
  • Execute the project plan for successful implementation of new accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with hospital personnel, surgeons, nurses and OR staff.
  • Help onboard new Technicians, orienting them to relevant hospital protocols and procedures. Provide on-the-job training for new hires and/or re-training for current staff.
  • Ensure the highest standards of decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
  • Maintain laparoscopic equipment, manage repairs, and replace instruments as needed.
  • Keep surgeon preference cards up to date.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in service, communication, and teamwork with Surgical Solutions, hospital, and OR personnel.
  • Maintain CRCST certification and comply with all credentialing and training requirements.
  • Lead by example in daily operations to support operational workflows. Share best practices to help teams integrate digital tools smoothly.

What We’re Looking For:

  • CRCST or CBSPD certification required. If CBSPD certified, must obtain CRCST certification within 120 days of employment.
  • Previous OR/SPD experience required.
  • High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with healthcare teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.
  • Flexibility for 24/7 hospital coverage including weekday, weekend, holiday rotations, and on-call shifts.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
