Community Chaplain

Job Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to provide pastoral care and counseling to include the full range of sacraments and rituals of the religious community. The Chaplain will provide religious services, group and personal guidance to meet the needs of the Attic Angel Community (residents, family members, employees and volunteers) in accordance with Attic Angel mission and values. Works cooperatively with team members to support residents.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead and facilitate inclusive religious and spiritual services

  • Provide one-on-one spiritual support to residents, families, and staff

  • Offer bedside, hospice, hospital, and end-of-life support (on-call as needed)

  • Coordinate and facilitate memorial services

  • Lead grief and caregiver support groups

  • Collaborate with Life Enrichment team and community faith partners

  • Ensure accurate documentation of spiritual care services

  • Provide education on spiritual diversity and end-of-life care

What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Counseling, or related field

  • Ordained Pastor in good standing; minimum 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)

  • 5+ years’ experience in senior living, hospice, or hospital settings preferred

  • Strong compassion, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and respond calmly in end-of-life situations

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
