Job Description:
Provide advising support for designated student programming organizations and committees.
• Responsible for the management and coordination of the Signature Events program including but not limited to developing and maintaining UF Traditions, event creation and implementation, and on-site event management.
• Advise the Class Councils in all aspects of planning and executing class-wide events and campus traditions (e.g. Senior Sendoff).
• Advise Student Government Productions in the planning and production of large-scale concerts with attendees ranging from 500-15,000 UF students and community members.
• Support GatorNights, ACCENT Speaker's Bureau, and other departmental campus events as needed.
• Advise other designated student organizations and committees in the development and implementation of social, educational, and cultural programs such as concerts, lectures, films, and special events for UF students.
• Serve as staff advisor to designated major campus-wide events as assigned (e.g., Homecoming Events, Gator Growl, and Great Gator Welcome).
• Assist with the performer contract process in excess of $1,000,000.00 annually.
• Advise student leaders in all aspects of event programming including but not limited to idea development, budgeting, planning, advertising and promotion, program implementation, and program evaluation.
• Interpret university policies for students and student organizations relating to the management of programs, contracts, safety, liability and risk management, and fiscal management.
Assist the Office of Campus Engagement in its efforts to provide support, advising, training, and oversight to ensure effective and comprehensive campus programs, events, and traditions at UF.
• Assist the office initiative to develop and support large scale campus events and traditions through the Signature Events program.
• Serve as a resource for event planning and management for students, staff, and faculty as needed.
• Assist with budget planning, monitoring, and reporting for events.
• Assist in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships in programming efforts with other UF departments, including academic departments.
Assist with administrative functions of the Office of Campus Engagement, including the areas of Campus Events and Traditions and Student Government Advising & Operations.
• Develop, conduct, and analyze research and assessments for various programs and services of the Office of Campus Engagement including but not limited to programming needs assessment, effectiveness of programs and services including outcomes assessment and student satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and promotions strategy for the services and programs of the Office of Campus Engagement.
• Advise and assist the Associate Director of Campus Events and Traditions in strategic planning and in meeting the service and educational objectives of the unit.
• Assist with budget planning and reporting. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure proper procedures, controls, and financial guidelines for all areas including organization expenditures.
• Assist with coordination of staff development within the department which may include trainings, workshops, or retreats.
• Provide supervision, training, and support for the Program Coordinator - GatorNights and one graduate assistant.
Contributes to the Division and University through active participation on committees and division-wide initiatives (example opportunities: emergency dean on call, event support team, conduct committee, student welcome events, etc); and, other duties as assigned.
This position will report to the Associate Director of Campus Events and Traditions. General direction will be rendered through established goals and expectations, on-going input and feedback via regular communication with employee on a daily basis, and regular performance reviews.

Program Coordinator, Student Life
One graduate assistant
Indirectly supervises the following positions:
10 Student Assistants
40 hours per week, with additional time required during peak periods such at the beginning and end of each semester.
Frequent night and weekend hours are required.
Expected Salary:
$58,000 to $60,000 Annual Salary
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience or a bachelor's degree in appropriate areas of specialization and four years of experience.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
• A Master's Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or comparable field or a Bachelor's in an appropriate
field and 4+ (four) years relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in advising students and working with event planning and student organizations at the college or
university level
• Demonstrated planning, organization, and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with computers and basic software applications.
• Demonstrated a commitment to creating an inclusive environment through strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated experience working with campus programming.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in marketing and promotions.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in budget development.
