Overview:
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced OMS Business Analyst with strong utility domain expertise to support customer experience enhancements for planned and unplanned electric outages. The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical knowledge across OMS, ADMS, data analytics platforms, middleware, and notification systems, and will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to evolve technical and architectural solutions that improve outage communications and operational outcomes.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Utility SME experience across:
    • Outage Management Systems (OMS)
    • Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS)
    • Data Analytics Platforms
    • Middleware integrations
    • Notification and data streaming technologies
  • 5+ years of related professional experience
  • 5+ years working in an Agile environment, with strong understanding of Agile values and principles
Technical & Functional Skills
Education & Core Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proven ability to influence at the Director level and build strong partnerships across organizations

With a strong focus on customer experience during planned and unplanned electric outages, the OMS Business Analyst will:
  • Create and maintain an architectural vision aligned with overall product vision.
  • Evolve the technical vision to incorporate new and emerging technologies.
  • Challenge current and future technical needs while driving:
    • Enterprise standardization
    • Consistency across customer communication channels
  • Evaluate and make trade-offs among technology options to balance:
    • Execution risk
    • Supportability
    • Vendor dependencies
    • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Quickly assess solution alternatives and move toward the most viable options.
  • Analyze:
    • Quantitative customer experience scores
    • Operational system metrics
    • Field execution data

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams.
  • Act as a trusted SME and advisor in OMS-related initiatives.
