Role: Senior IBM Netcool/Omnibus Engineer
Location: Remote
Type of Employment: W2 Contract
Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior IBM Netcool/Omnibus Engineer to support and optimize enterprise event management systems. This role involves deployment, migration, and integration of Netcool environments across infrastructure and monitoring platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy and migrate Netcool/Omnibus environments (ObjectServer, Probes, Gateways)
  • Support and administer Netcool in Linux environments
  • Configure event correlation, alerting, and monitoring workflows
  • Integrate Netcool with enterprise systems and databases
  • Troubleshoot and optimize system performance

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of IBM Netcool/Omnibus experience
  • Strong knowledge of OMNIbus, Impact, WebGUI/Dash, Message Bus
  • Experience with Linux administration and Oracle DB (SQL)
  • Scripting experience (Bash, Python, Perl)
  • Experience with event correlation and alert management

Preferred:
  • Integration with Dynatrace and ServiceNow
  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and Netcool DB schemas
