How much do omb jobs pay per year?

As of Jul 1, 2026, the average yearly pay for omb in the United States is $95,000.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $85,000.00 and $105,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is the main job of the OMB?

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is a federal agency responsible for overseeing the preparation of the President's budget, implementing budgetary policies, and coordinating agency activities to ensure efficient government operations. OMB analysts review agency proposals, develop regulations, and monitor performance to support effective public administration.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

For an Omb or similar roles, high weekly pay without a degree typically involves specialized skills, experience, or certifications. Jobs such as sales managers, real estate brokers, or certain skilled trades can reach or exceed $4,000 weekly, especially with commissions or bonuses. These roles often require strong interpersonal skills, industry knowledge, and sometimes licensing or certification but not necessarily a college degree.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Ombudsman, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Ombudsman, you generally need a background in conflict resolution, investigative skills, and a relevant degree such as law, public administration, or social sciences. Familiarity with case management systems, documentation tools, and sometimes certification in mediation or alternative dispute resolution is common. Exceptional communication, impartiality, and empathy are crucial soft skills for effectively listening to all parties and facilitating fair outcomes. These abilities ensure the Ombudsman can impartially address complaints, build trust, and resolve disputes efficiently.

What jobs pay 200,000 a year in the USA?

For an Omb, a role typically found in legal or governmental settings, salaries of $200,000 or more are uncommon and usually require extensive experience, advanced certifications, or leadership positions. High-paying roles in related fields include senior executives, specialized attorneys, or healthcare professionals such as surgeons, which often exceed this salary level. Compensation varies based on industry, location, and individual qualifications.

What is the difference between Omb and Compliance Officer?

AspectOmbCompliance Officer
Required CredentialsVaries; often legal or regulatory backgroundLegal, regulatory, or industry-specific certifications
Work EnvironmentIndependent, often within organizations or government agenciesCorporate or organizational settings, focusing on policies
Employer & Industry UsageUsed across government, healthcare, education, and large organizationsPrimarily in corporate, financial, and healthcare sectors

While both roles focus on ensuring adherence to laws and policies, an Omb acts as an independent advocate or mediator within organizations or agencies, often handling complaints and promoting transparency. A Compliance Officer primarily develops, implements, and monitors compliance programs within organizations to prevent violations. Understanding these differences helps clarify their distinct functions in organizational governance and regulatory adherence.

How does an Ombuds typically collaborate with different departments within an organization?

An Ombuds acts as a neutral party, facilitating confidential communication between employees and management across various departments. They often work closely with HR, legal, and leadership teams to address concerns, mediate conflicts, and recommend systemic improvements. While maintaining confidentiality, Ombuds may identify patterns or issues that require cross-departmental collaboration to resolve, fostering a more open and equitable work environment. This role requires strong communication and diplomacy skills, as well as the ability to build trust with individuals at all organizational levels.

What's the easiest government job to get?

Omb (or ombudsman) positions in government agencies often have straightforward entry requirements, such as relevant experience in dispute resolution or customer service, and may not require advanced degrees. These roles typically involve administrative skills and knowledge of public policies, with some positions offering entry-level opportunities that are easier to obtain compared to highly competitive government jobs.

Job description

LEAD LINE COOK โ€” OMB BallantyneRun the line at Charlotte's iconic biergarten. $20โ€“24/hr

Reports to: Corporate Executive Chef & Executive Sous Chef
Location: OMB Ballantyne (Charlotte, NC)
Type: Hourly, full-time

If you take pride in clean technique, fast tickets, and a line that runs like clockwork, OMB wants you leading it.

We're looking for a Lead Line Cook to run our line operation in Ballantyne โ€” a key member of the Culinary Management Team who sets the pace, holds the standard, and brings the rest of the crew up with them. You'll cook great food for a packed house, mentor the cooks around you, and get real room to grow.

About OMB

Founded in 2009 in Charlotte's Lower South End, The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery has always brewed to the German Purity Law โ€” Reinheitsgebot โ€” using just four ingredients: water, barley, hops, and yeast. That commitment to quality runs through everything we do, including the kitchen.

OMB's original LoSo home features a state-of-the-art brewery, full-service Brauhaus, and a one-acre biergarten known across North Carolina for its events and festivals. In 2024 we opened our second location in the heart of Ballantyne โ€” a two-story, 14,000-square-foot restaurant and biergarten โ€” and it's quickly become a favorite gathering spot in south Charlotte. Our beer is proudly distributed statewide.

Your role

As a member of the Culinary Management Team, you'll lead the line and work closely with both the kitchen and service crews. That means:

  • Making sure every OMB dish goes out with quality, care, and craftsmanship
  • Holding the line on recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Hitting 12-minute ticket times without cutting corners
  • Running quality checks on ingredients and finished plates
  • Monitoring inventory and managing temperature logs and regulations
  • Keeping a clean, safe, hazard-free kitchen that meets every health department guideline
  • Modeling proper cooking techniques and knife skills for the team
  • Training and mentoring cooks, and building a positive, collaborative kitchen
  • Staying cool and adaptable when priorities shift and the rush hits
  • Taking on additional duties as needed from the Corporate Executive Chef
What's in it for you
  • $20โ€“24/hr base pay depending on experience
  • Free beer stipend for OMB staff
  • Medical, dental, and vision (full-time employees)
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Employee discounts on food, beer, and merch
  • Family dinner with the crew
  • Real room for growth
What you bring
  • A culinary degree or training in a high-volume kitchen
  • Previous line cook experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Solid professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • An open mind and a genuine can-do attitude
  • Ability to transport up to 50 lbs
  • A commitment to OMB's six core values
Our core values

Dedication to quality, no shortcuts. Integrity โ€” do the right thing. Service-minded. A point of pride in the community. Lead, don't follow. Team.

All candidates must pass a pre-employment / post-offer background check. Applications are reviewed regularly for both locations; if we'd like to move forward, HR will reach out by phone or email. Positions are posted and maintained on an ongoing basis โ€” if you haven't heard from HR, we may not have an opening right now but may contact you about a future one. OMB participates in E-Verify. OMB is an equal opportunity employer that hires based on job-related qualifications and abilities.
