Job Description
We are seeking an analytical professional with a background in finance, accounting, or business to join our Advisory department and provide financial management services related to our Federal client's most pressing tasks.
As a Staff Consultant, you be an integral member of Castro & Company's Advisory Team and will have the opportunity to support our clients by:
  • Recommending defensible positions, considering courses of action, and considering the most beneficial options to the government related to financial management challenges
  • Developing consolidated financial statements, notes, and related audit support documentation in compliance with Federal Accounting Standards (FAS).
  • Performing financial statement analytical review.
  • Writing and updating accounting policies.
  • Preparing technical briefings to Castro Senior Management.
  • Drafting accounting position papers.
  • Documenting critical financial reporting processes.
  • Reviewing and assessing compliance with OMB Circular A-123.
  • Assisting with developing requirements and cross-walking changes.
  • Supporting Management with various analyses and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications
To achieve these tasks, you must possess the following Essential Qualities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field: Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics
  • Ability to obtain a Federal Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Interest or experience with Federal Financial Statement Audits and Reporting and OMB Circular A-123
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis.
