Job description

Description:Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our Vernal location. This is an industrial, business-to-business role serving oil and gas customers throughout the Uinta Basin. The Sales Representative handles both inside and outside sales, manages assigned customer accounts, and delivers product to customers as needed. Because the Vernal location runs with a lean team, the Sales Representative also helps with receiving product and stocking the warehouse.

The ideal candidate already has hands-on oilfield sales experience and is comfortable building relationships with customers in person, over the phone, and on delivery visits. Training on our specific product line and order application will be provided, but a working knowledge of the oilfield sales process is required from day one.

Work Environment

Work is performed across a sales counter, warehouse, and delivery environment. The employee will regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts and will spend time both indoors and outdoors, including driving to customer locations to deliver product. The volume level is usually quiet to moderate at the sales counter and can be louder in the warehouse.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Inside Sales: Handle inside counter sales, assisting customers with product selection, pricing, and order entry.
  • Outside Sales: Manage outside sales relationships and customer visits within the Uinta Basin service area, including prospecting and account growth.
  • Account Management: Serve as the point of contact for an assigned book of customer accounts, ensuring orders, follow-up, and service needs are handled promptly.
  • Product Delivery: Deliver product directly to customers as needed, representing the company professionally at customer locations.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist with receiving incoming product and stocking the warehouse given the size of the team at this location.
  • Sales Process: Follow established sales processes for quoting, order entry, and account documentation using the company's point-of-sale and ordering systems.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain working knowledge of the company's oil and gas equipment line. Ongoing training on product and application will be provided.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with oilfield customers and vendors.
  • Safety Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety protocols, including proper use of equipment, safe driving practices, and handling of hazardous materials.

  • Minimum of 2 years of oilfield sales experience required
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, required for product delivery
  • Prior experience with warehouse receiving or stocking preferred
Other Desired Skills/Qualifications
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Trainability: Comfortable learning new product lines and internal ordering systems, with training provided.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks when loading, unloading, or delivering product.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using a computerized point-of-sale, invoicing, or inventory management system.
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, and operate a hand-truck, forklift, or other resource to lift and carry heavier items.
