Job description

Aristotle is seeking a Manager, Advocacy to support the execution of client advocacy campaigns across a fast-moving public affairs practice. This is not a passive support role. The right candidate writes clearly, manages details without losing sight of strategy, and is hungry to grow into a sharper advocacy professional.

Day to day, the Manager will help plan and coordinate campaign activity, track legislative and regulatory developments, support coalition and stakeholder engagement, and keep client work moving. We want someone who takes ownership of their work, asks good questions, and sees every campaign as a chance to learn how serious advocacy gets done.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

•Support federal, state, and local advocacy campaigns alongside senior team members and client account teams.

•Track issues, monitor legislative developments, and recommend updates to advocacy content, outreach plans, and position materials.

•Assist with fly-ins, lobby days, coalition meetings, stakeholder briefings, webinars, and other advocacy events.

•Draft and edit action alerts, newsletters, social content, talking points, leave-behinds, website copy, and client materials.

•Manage digital assets for social channels and websites, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and aligned with client objectives.

•Coordinate tasks across creative, data, digital, technology, and client service teams.

•Research policymakers, districts, agencies, committees, companies, coalitions, and stakeholder audiences to support strategy and outreach.

•Track campaign activity, prepare status updates, capture meeting follow-ups, and support reporting against client goals.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, Public Affairs, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

•2 to 4 years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, campaigns, legislative work, account management, communications, or a related field.

•Working understanding of the legislative process and interest in lobbying, grassroots advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs campaigns.

•Strong writing, editing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

•Comfort using digital advocacy tools, CRM systems, email platforms, social media tools, or similar technology.

•Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Skills

•Prior Capitol Hill, campaign, association, corporate government affairs, public affairs, or agency experience.

•Experience coordinating events, lobby days, webinars, fly-ins, or stakeholder meetings.

•Experience with social media management, social listening, paid social coordination, project management tools, or stakeholder research.

Salary Range: $75k - $95k Base + Bonus
