Job description

Job Description:
  • Senior Network Engineer with over 8+ years in telecommunications engineering efforts within major Oil & Gas FEED, Detailed Engineering  & EPC projects.
  • Extensive expertise in creating detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD, implementing SCADA automation systems with a strong networking foundation, and managing fiber optic and microwave transmission networks
  • Good understanding of telecom packages in EPC projects of different phases from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to Detailed Design, Commissioning, and Handover.
  • Primary Technical interface with clients, vendors, and inter-disciplinary teams (Electrical, Instrumentation, Process) to resolve technical queries and interface issues
  • Contribute to the creation of critical telecom engineering deliverables, including Block Diagrams, System Architectures, Layouts, and Termination Schedules using AutoCAD.
  • Design and validate integrated telecom systems suitable for hazardous Oil & Gas environments, including PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, LAN/WAN, and Hotline Systems.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications, datasheets, and material requisitions for telecom equipment procurement.
  • Lead the design and implementation of SCADA automation networks, architect secure industrial networking solutions (TCP/IP , Switching, Routing, Firewalls) to support operational technology (OT) requirements

Experience:
    • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in Telecommunications Engineering, with at least 5 years in a Lead or Senior role within the Oil & Gas EPC sector.
    • Extensive proven track record in Greenfield and Brownfield projects, covering Onshore and Offshore facilities.
    • Demonstrated experience in the full project lifecycle, including engineering, installation supervision, and commissioning.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
    • Essential proficiency in AutoCAD for creating 2D engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics. Ability to guide drafters and review .dwg files for technical accuracy.
    • SCADA & Automation: In-depth knowledge of SCADA architectures, RTUs, PLCs, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850).
    • Strong background in IP Networking, VLANs, and cyber security principles relevant to industrial control systems (ICS).
    • Expert-level knowledge of Fiber Optic cable plant design (OSP/ISP).
