  • Document Control Specialist: The Document Control Special performs work with minimal supervision unless engineering technical assistance is required, in which Engineering will provide support. Needs to be able to execute roughly defined assignments that rely on self-judgment and initiative. Must have advanced experience and understanding of document control management while being adaptable enough to learn proprietary Samsung software systems.

  • Roles and Responsibilities
    • Act as a system administrator to document and align information in multiple information management tools (document management system, Confluence, and construction project management systems)
    • Support management of project drawings and tracking of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
    • Work with Engineering and Maintenance Teams to ensure all required technical documents (such as drawings, submittals, sequence of operations) are up to date stored uniformly and consistently in information management tools and accessible to all HVAC team members
    • Support uploading and downloading of information to and from construction project management system to support startup and commissioning handoff
    • Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and be outside in varying weather conditions (wind, cold, or heat/humidity) to visit equipment, observe, and understand items managed in documentation
    • Support special project requests, as required, from Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance Teams related to information management
    • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information
  • Qualifications
    • 5+ years in administration and document control
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
    • Strong skills in Atlassian Confluence
    • Autodesk Autocad proficient preferred
    • Ability to read drawings preferred
    • Strong interpersonal skills for communication and coordination with all team members
