Description:

Controlled Combustion is the leading heating contractor in NYC. We serve a variety of industries, including luxury apartments, hospitals, universities, and more. With over 150 employees, our team is as diverse as the services we offer. We’re looking for a creative Outside Sales Representative.

We seek a driven Outside Sales Representative with an established book of business in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT). The ideal candidate has relations with heating/installing contractors for Johnson Oil and Gas Burner sales. We will also focus on control upgrades featuring Autoflame.


Please note that this position is on the field with occasional visits to the office. Hybrid or remote (working from home) is not available for this position. Employee will be expected to commute to our Bronx office when they do not have any outside assignments.


Responsibilities

  • Track activities and results.
  • Attend in-office meetings in the Bronx once per week or every other week.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and deliver consistent timely follow-up.
  • Serve as a consultative resource to clients, producing material recommendations and technical support when needed.
  • Identify and develop new customer relations with building managers, trades, etc.
  • Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings, job site visits, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with internal team members to ensure exceptional service and fulfillment.

Experience:

  • Adobe: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Outside sales experience in the heating, oil and gas, HVAC, or construction industries: 3 years (Required).

Qualifications / Skills:

  • 3+ years outside sales experience within industry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills (over the phone and in person).
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable record.


Minimum Education and Work Experience:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales.
  • Experience in social media marketing for a business a plus
