Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Gas Controller will report to the Manager of Midstream Operations. A successful candidate will have experience monitoring and controlling pressure and flows to maintain a safe and efficient pipeline system. Ability to analyze, comprehend and react to information and data being retrieved in Gas Control via SCADA systems and other communications media. This role will sit in our Charleston, WV office.
Special focus to be placed on:
  • Monitor & Control pressures and flows to maintain a safe and efficient pipeline system.
  • Ability to analyze, comprehend and react to information and data being retrieved in Gas Control via SCADA systems and other communications media.
  • Communicate with field personnel and district offices via telephone and radio.
  • Generate, publish and distribute multiple required reports via email.
  • Document daily activities within the Gas Control logging system.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience, preferably in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Must be available to work 12 hr shift rotations, day ight, every other weekend and holidays.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong MS Office products experience, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, OneNote
  • Cygnet SCADA experience is a plus.
  • Database or programming experience is a plus.
  • Applicant will be subject to random drug and alcohol screening per D.O.T. and PHMSA requirements.
