Position: General Manager & Sr. Director, Oil & Gas
Location: Houston, TX (On-Site with ~50% travel)
Compensation: $250,000–$275,000 base + 25% bonus + long-term incentives (RSUs)
Relocation: Lump sum support ($35,000 homeowners / $15,000 renters)
Overview:
The General Manager, Global Oil & Gas, is accountable for the full business performance of a global engineered products and services portfolio, including manufacturing operations, commercial strategy, and financial results. This role oversees a diverse product offering serving upstream, midstream, and downstream markets, including drilling, services, hydrocarbon transport, and refining systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Own full global P&L performance, driving both revenue growth and profitability in alignment with broader business objectives
· Develop and execute strategic and operational plans to expand market share and enhance margins
· Lead global business development initiatives and maintain strong relationships with end users, distribution partners, and key industry stakeholders
· Direct sales and marketing strategy, ensuring disciplined pricing, effective segmentation, and strong go-to-market execution
· Oversee multi-site manufacturing and assembly operations, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
· Drive continuous improvement through lean initiatives, productivity enhancements, and operational best practices
· Ensure efficient and compliant operations across product assembly, testing, storage, and delivery for high- and low-pressure systems
· Foster cross-functional alignment with adjacent business units to maximize synergies and overall performance
Keys to Success
· Deep experience in global upstream oil and gas markets, with exposure to drilling operations and related products/services; familiarity with midstream and downstream segments is advantageous
· Established industry relationships with drilling operators, oilfield service providers, and OEMs
· Proven ability to lead and optimize multi-site manufacturing operations, including implementation of structured continuous improvement programs
· Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., API 7K, API 16C)
· Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen, with a track record of translating revenue into profitable growth
Qualifications Seeking:
· 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing and operations
· Demonstrated ownership of global P&L and management of complex, multi-site organizations
· Minimum 5 years of commercial leadership experience within industrial oil and gas markets
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; MBA preferred
