Job Title: Service Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Service Technician to handle repair, calibration, field service, product demonstrations, and customer training-both in-house and on-site, including offshore locations. This role also involves equipment maintenance, toolbox fabrication, inventory tracking, and cross-functional support across departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, repair, and calibrate tools and equipment both in the workshop and at customer locations.

  • Travel up to 40% of the time to customer sites and offshore facilities to operate, troubleshoot, and service tooling applications.

  • Maintain accurate service documentation, including parts usage and repair history in the company's system.

  • Modify and prepare toolboxes and tool kits, including painting, labeling, and decal application.

  • Support trade shows by packing, setting up, and dismantling booths and equipment.

  • Track inventory used for repairs and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.

  • Provide customer support via phone and email, offering technical assistance and guidance.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers on proper tool use and maintenance.

  • Perform product conversions and adjustments as per production orders.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures, particularly when working in field and offshore environments.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in mechanical tool inspection, repair, and calibration-especially hydraulic or torque tools.

  • Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting technical tools in both shop and field environments.

  • Understanding of calibration standards and procedures to ensure equipment accuracy.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems for minor diagnostics and repairs.

  • Ability to modify and assemble toolkits with attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational skills for tracking parts and maintaining inventory records.

  • Familiarity with production workflows and the ability to perform conversions per specifications.

  • Effective communication and training abilities for customer interaction and support.

  • Strong awareness of workplace safety practices, especially in offshore or high-risk environments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems (Required).

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Service Technician, with field or offshore exposure (Preferred).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time, including offshore assignments.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to rent vehicles when traveling.

  • Must comply with company substance abuse policy-drug use is grounds for termination.
