Job Description

Fugro's Marine & Asset Integrity-focused service line within Fugro, supporting industries across the full "life of field". Internally, MAI is highlighted as a key contributor to Fugro's energy transition strategy, with strong emphasis on technologyenabled and remote solutions.

The eROV Supervisor will be responsible for supervising, controlling and operating the system and execute the offshore operations for the ROV systems, in accordance with the service orders of the contracts and the company's safety standards. This role will be acting on board platforms, or on special vessels or from the ROC, guiding the team, ensuring the safety of personnel and maintenance, conservation and operability of the equipment, in order to meet the contractual conditions signed and the established safety standards. This role will report to the Deputy Manager of Resources and Operations Support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
  • Undertake regular safety meetings and risk assessments.
  • Supervise technicians and operators in adherence to defined procedures and practices to ensure compliance with safe & sustainable operations.
  • Lead and promote good QHSSE standards and practices.
  • Effective use of safety management processes for reporting of near miss and incidents
  • Engage in training and assessing for eROV pilot technicians and eROV pilots within the Global Technical Competence Management system and Fugro Academy.
  • Actively participate in Supports QHSSE audits and inspections.
  • Maintain good communications with eROV team and local management Supervisor.
  • Engage with project risk assessment process.
  • Act under the instruction of Superintendent or the client.
  • Ensure regular audits of project deliverables for accuracy.
  • Highlight and report any issues to Superintendents and Technical Managers.
  • Maintain good communications with Superintendents and Technical Mangers.
  • Effective handling of emergency situations / management of ROV team in such situations
  • Ensure all project, shift hand over, RA, TBT documents are all updated.
  • Ensure that the eROV is fully operational during project requirements
  • Responsible for maintenance of eROV and USV equipment.
  • Other duties assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree or higher in Remote Sensing, GIS, Geography or a related field preferred but not required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in operating and supervising ROV operations, ROV & USV operational & maintenance practices.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
  • Ability to travel and work away from home base for extended period, both domestic and on occasion international.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all credentials for offshore work such as TWIC, passport, water survival, and OGUK certification.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, to ensure continuous review of best practices are being adopted and ensuring operational excellence.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating system, including but not limited to Windows 10
  • Must have excellent and effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently without supervision or with minimal supervision as well working in a team environment.
