Founded in Houston, Texas, USA, Seatrax has expanded its reach to include locations in Louisiana as well as the United Kingdom.
We are seeking a Lifting Authority to join our team.
The Lifting Authority will be the focal point for all customer equipment related lifting operations on the platform. The Lifting Authority is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations are conducted at all levels of operation and management. Offshore work schedule 14 and 14.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Provides input to management of major hazards in particular the prevention, detection, and mitigation.
• Actively monitor and improve the safety and efficiency of rigging, lifting, and handling operations with reference to customer procedures, and API RP2D.
• Author and/or review, of customer and 3 party contractors lift plans including but not limited to JSA's when applicable.
• Provide rigging, lifting and customer policy coaching to all personnel as required.
• Ensure compliance with customers HSE guidelines and best working practices as related to crane operations, lifting, and rigging.
• Review and amend / approval all lift plans.
Requirements
Qualification and experience:
• Operational experience in offshore (GOM) rigging,
• Crane Operation experience not required but considered a plus.
• Operational knowledge of offshore cranes, portable lifting appliances, accessories, attachments and below the hook lifting devices.
• Previous experience in direct supervision of rigging and lifting consider a plus.
Requirements:
• The ability to network with others
• Good communication, teaching and writing skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Average mathematical aptitude
• Must pass fit for duty physical
• Drug Free Environment
