Position: Overhead Crane Mechanic
Main Responsibilities:
Technical Reading: Interpret diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to establish work procedures.
Inspection and Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair overhead cranes, ensuring optimal functionality.
Component Repair: Repair hoists and various pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components.
Knowledge Maintenance: Continuously enhance knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems through ongoing training, industry workshops, and technical literature.
Preventative Maintenance: Implement a preventative maintenance program for both onshore and offshore cranes.
Market Awareness: Monitor competitive activities and contribute positively to the company's image and reputation.
Tool Management: Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment effectively.
Driving Compliance: Adhere to driving guidelines for the assigned company vehicle.
Component Identification: Accurately identify all types of crane components.
Parts Management: Identify and request necessary replacement parts to facilitate repairs.
Documentation: Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
Safety Compliance: Understand and comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, within the physical constraints of the role.
Qualifications & Experience:
Technical Knowledge: Understand the basic operations of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, including machinery alignment and rigging principles. Static Stepless experience is strongly preferred.
Experience: Relevant experience in a service-related field, with a focus on electrical and pneumatic systems.
Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, along with good depth perception.
Field Competence: Must have completed mandated field hours and demonstrate competency in the role.
Rigging Familiarity: Familiarity with crane rigging procedures is essential.
Driving Record: Maintain a good driving record.
Independence: Ability to perform tasks independently and efficiently.
