Job description

Senior Civil/Structural Designer

Department: Drafting & Design


Reports to: The Civil/Structural Designer will report to the Drafting & Design Department Manager.


Job Overview/Summary:

Seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Designer who is responsible for supporting and actively participating in detailed Civil/Structural design activities in a variety of offshore and onshore projects.

As a successful candidate, you will be assigned projects and take ownership of designing various onshore/offshore facilities. Final deliverables include items such as Plan Drawings, Pipe Support Location Plans Details, Deck Extensions, Stair and Ladder Details, Foundation Details, Riser Drawings.

In this position, you will interface with project managers and other discipline leads to ensure accuracy and consistency across our project deliverables.


Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Utilize engineering sketches, specifications and supporting documents in the designing, detailing of various Civil/Structural configurations.

·         Model Structural designs using CADWorx Steel and AutoCAD.

·         Generate plans and details using CADWorx and AutoCAD.

·         Create equipment models from provided vendor information.

·         Create Framing Plans and Section drawings.

·         Produce deliverables utilizing company standards within project-approved schedule & budget.

·         Assemble information and reference drawings from a variety of sources.

·         Maintain proper file management in accordance with company and industry standards.

·         Interact and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, designers, and other office personnel.

 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

·         7+yrs Civil/Structural Design experience in the oil and gas industry.

·         Small project lead experience preferred.      

·         Must be proficient using CADWorx Steel, AutoCAD (3D) and Navisworks.

·         Previous onshore and offshore project experience.

·         Working knowledge of 3D structural and equipment modeling.

·         Excellent attention to detail.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis to apply.
