Job description

Job Summary:
Truck Cab Manufacturers Inc. is seeking a skilled Offline Brake Press Programmer to develop accurate and efficient bending programs using SigmaBEND for both Cincinnati and Accurpress brake press machines. This role focuses on translating engineering drawings into bend-ready programs, optimizing tool selection, and ensuring parts are designed for manufacturability and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sheet metal forming, bend allowances, and brake press operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Use SigmaBEND to create offline bending programs for Cincinnati and Accurpress brake press machines.

  • Interpret technical drawings and 3D models to plan bend sequences and tool setups.

  • Optimize bend programs for accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

  • Select appropriate tooling and account for bend allowances, material type, and part geometry.

  • Collaborate with engineering and brake press operators to resolve challenges and validate programs.

  • Maintain organized records of programs, setups, revisions, and notes for future runs.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to forming quality and throughput.


Qualifications:
  • Experience programming press brakes using SigmaBEND or comparable offline bending software.

  • Strong knowledge of brake press operations, bend sequence strategy, and tool selection.

  • Familiarity with Cincinnati and Accurpress press brakes strongly preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.

  • Solid understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication processes.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently and with production staff.

  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
