Job description

The purpose of a Security Officer is to provide a proactive visible deterrent to the commission of crimes on Hospital property. Officers are required to respond to crimes and disturbances on Hospital property and to take appropriate action. These responses may require Officers to apprehend violent offenders, assist staff with restraining patients and document these occurrences. Security Officers are responsible for the protection and safety of the Hospital, its patients, employees, visitors of all age groups and their property.
Education/Experience:
All Officers are required to possess excellent verbal skills and should be able to relate to people from all walks of life.
They must also possess the ability to document occurrences in writing accurately.
A minimum of a high school degree or its equivalent is required. Previous experience in a security function, investigative techniques or closed circuit television monitoring is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver''s license issued by the state of their legal residence.
MUST be minimum 21 years old.
