About the Role
In order to achieve its ambition of serving 80,000-100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is hiring an Office Coordinator, Atlanta Office, who will oversee the general administrative functions and activities of the Atlanta, GA office. As a member of the People & Operations team, you will orchestrate seamless daily operations, ensure efficient workflow, foster a collaborative environment, and drive productivity to achieve organizational excellence.
This role is on the People & Operations team and reports directly to the Head of Workplace Technology & Operations.
What You'll Do
As an integral part of our team, you will wear many hats to ensure the smooth operation of our office. Your key responsibilities will include:
Operational Activities (70%)
  • Oversee daily facility requirements regarding maintenance, repairs, cleaning services, storage, supplies, purchasing, maintaining the kitchen area, and similar tasks.
  • Maintain responsibility for facility cleanliness and security to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all.
  • Provide minor technical support and triage with IT, as needed.
  • Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot routine issues and maintain office equipment and procedures.
  • Evaluate, source, and recommend office services and facilities consultants and vendors.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for staff events and training, such as placing supplies and food orders, coordinating conference rooms, and setting up and breaking down events.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all matters related to the Atlanta office.
  • Facilitate meetings, address employee concerns, and contribute to a positive, inclusive office culture.
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in office processes and functions.

Administrative Oversight (30%)
  • Take charge of day-to-day administrative tasks, including but not limited to helping with the scheduling of events in the Atlanta office, office supply management, and facility coordination.
  • Provide administrative support for special events planning, including day-of support.
  • Support monthly credit card, translation, and interpretation billing reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile rent payments and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail in managing budgetary aspects related to office operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
  • 2 years of relevant office management or administrative experience.
  • Proficient in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in office management or a related role.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and communication skills.
  • Experience with project management or team leadership is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service ethic and instincts.

Work Demands
  • Ability to work in-person in Atlanta (GA) and flexibility to adapt and be present in the office for various needs, such as vendor interactions, office setup, etc.
  • Travel 4-6 times per year.
  • This role involves occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies and light packages. The ideal candidate should be able to comfortably handle moderate-weight items during day-to-day operations, including food deliveries and supply management.

Compensation and Benefits
Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead, each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking.
Starting salary within the range is determined by role scope and qualifications, with new hires starting at the lower end to allow for growth with performance. Braven does not base compensation on individual candidate salary expectations and is committed to maintaining internal equity. The salary ranges, by geographic market, for this role are set forth $44,600-$55,700. This is based on a 50-hour work week at an hourly rate. This is a full-time, non-exempt, and benefits eligible position where you will be working at 100% capacity.
Braven also provides competitive, comprehensive benefits, recognition, and career development. While Braven reserves the right to change benefits at any time, current benefits include:
  • Unlimited vacation time in addition to org-wide holidays and week-long shutdowns in July and the end of the calendar year (this is a minimum of 19 days per year)
  • Braven supports your path to parenthood and beyond with $25,000 in lifetime Carrot benefits for fertility, family-building, and hormonal health
  • Match of your 401K contribution up to 5% of your base annual salary, starting your first full month
  • Coverage of 85% of health insurance premium for employee and dependents

Location
We gather in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) and work remotely 2 days a week (Monday and Friday). Therefore, this role requires teammates to live within commuting distance of Atlanta.
