Job description

Blevins, Inc., a financially strong, privately owned wholesaler of building supplies, has an immediate opening for an Office Support position to join our team in our Greenville, SC branch.
Blevins, Inc. has a long history of success both in sales and profits and in building a culture of being a positive, rewarding work environment. Family owned for over 40 years, the company takes pride in being a leader in its industry and cultivating a spirit of continuous improvement. Each branch location is a free standing profit center within the multi-branch company.
Primary responsibilities include:mrg
  • Manage a national multi-line phone system, determining purpose of callers, and forwarding calls to appropriate personnel or department, including delivery of messages when appropriate personnel are unavailable
  • Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determining nature of business, and announcing visitors to appropriate personnel; monitors visitor access
  • Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes
  • Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies
  • Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets and mails to branches and to customers as needed
  • Receives, sorts, and routes incoming mail and prepares out-going mail at the end of each day for delivery to post office. May go to local post office to retrieve daily mail
  • Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating

Job Requirements:
  • High School or equivalent education
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Basic PC skills required, including proficiency in MS Office and internet applications
  • Great organizational skills required

  • Data Entry skills required
  • Ability to consistently maintain orderly paperwork
