Job description

Job Title: Student Worker - BSB Office Assistant - BC

Job Classification: Administrative and Office Services, Student

Department: Baylor Sciences and Facilities

Hiring Manager: Teresa Reid

Work Schedule: 10hrs per week, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm

Desired Length of Employment: Summer/Ongoing

Pay Rate: $8.00/hour

Job Description:

Job includes various office duties including filing, tracking information, submitting work orders, answering, and screening calls; assist faculty, staff, students, and visitors as needed; shared space maintenance; working with Excel and Word; any other duties as requested by supervisor. Manage confidential materials; attention to detail; strong communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of general clerical skills; organizational and time management skills; proficiency in basic computer office software and office equipment. The ability to comply with University policies and maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Provide general office assistance and support  
  • Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information 
  • Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information  
  • Assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed  
  • Ability to comply with University policies  
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
