Description

Procurement Administrator will support purchasing operations during a period of organizational growth and process improvement. This role will serve as a key liaison between internal teams and vendors, helping ensure material availability, accurate purchasing data, and timely supplier communication while supporting ongoing ERP and process enhancement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment, is comfortable managing vendor relationships, and can effectively balance administrative responsibilities with proactive follow-up on purchasing deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update purchasing, vendor, and inventory data within company ERP systems.

Perform high-volume data entry to support purchasing process improvements and ERP initiatives.

Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding purchase orders, lead times, delivery schedules, and order status.

Follow up with vendors to ensure commitments and deadlines are met.

Escalate supply chain issues and proactively address delays that could impact production schedules.

Assist with physical inventory counts, inventory organization, and product labeling activities.

Support purchasing and supply chain teams with administrative reporting and documentation.

Track and maintain vendor information, pricing, and purchasing records.

Collaborate with finance, operations, and production teams to improve purchasing workflows and material planning.

Assist in identifying opportunities to improve visibility into future material requirements and purchasing needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement administration, supply chain, inventory control, or a related administrative role.

Experience working directly with vendors and suppliers.

Strong data entry and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Comfortable communicating with vendors and professionally holding suppliers accountable to commitments.

Experience using ERP systems preferred.

Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Familiarity with JobBOSS, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar systems is a plus.

Must be eligible to work in the United States and meet ITAR requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arnold, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
