Job Details:Job Details: The Clinc Office Assistant is primarily responsible for Registering patients upon arrival and pointing them to their first appointment of the day. This position will coordinate Registrations between three departments. The applicant will work with all staff to ensure patient satisfaction upon arrival. Also collect copays and payments, processes medical records batches, and answer incoming calls. Clinic Office Assistant will be responsible for appointment scheduling of physician follow ups and coordinationwith the infusion scheduler to make sure appointments are in order. This position will perfrom regular maintenance on provider schedules according to the on call schedule.  May refer patients to support services across the Oncology Service Line. Cross-training may include training in Scheduling and in New Patient Coordination.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Associate degree preferred but not required. Three years in a physician's office with previous scheduling and collections experience is highly preferred. Experience with the Epic EMR, office skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance terminology is a plus. Excellent communication and computer skills are required.
