Please include a cover letter with your salary expectations and why you believe you would be a good fit for the Paralegal position.Downtown Jacksonville, Florida law firm seeks an enthusiastic, self-motivated full-time in-office Paralegal.Primary Duties and Responsibilities for Paralegal:Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, other firms, the court, and litigation support vendorsMaintain attorney calendar and deadlinesReview and summarize medical recordsReview and summarize medical service billing recordsExtract relevant information from investigative documents such as police reports, surveillance reports, and government agency records.Prepare files for upcoming depositions, hearings, mediations and trialHandle pleading shells/drafts for attorney reviewFile and serve documents as neededReview court procedures and ensure compliance with specific county and judge rulesPerforms other duties as necessary.Requirements:Strong organization and communication skills.Meticulous attention to detail.Dependable with a respect for confidentiality and policies.Prior legal experience as legal assistant/paralegal in insurance defense strongly preferred.
