What is an office manager estimator?

An Office Manager Estimator is a professional who manages office operations while also handling job estimating responsibilities, often in industries like construction, manufacturing, or service. They coordinate administrative tasks, oversee office staff, and ensure efficient workflow. In the estimator role, they analyze project requirements, prepare cost estimates, and assist in bidding processes to help the company win contracts. This hybrid position requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. The role is crucial for streamlining office functions and maximizing project profitability.

How does an office manager estimator balance administrative duties with estimating responsibilities?

An Office Manager Estimator often splits their time between managing office operations—such as scheduling, invoicing, and coordinating communication—and preparing accurate cost estimates for projects. Successfully balancing these responsibilities can prepare you for more specialized or senior roles in project management or operations.
