Position Overview
Under direction, performs a variety of complex, specialized clerical duties for supervisory staff, keyboards documents, processes records and performs general office support functions involving related steps, processes and/or methods requiring application of agency policies and procedures; determines work methods and procedures to complete assignments; provides information/assistance to explain/clarify rules, processes or procedures. Performs functions requiring interaction with recipients/clients which regularly involve translating for Polish Speaking Individuals.
Essential Functions
  • Keyboards a wide variety of complex memos reports and correspondence involving medical technical and legal terminology.
  • Prepares and maintains complex highly specialized records and reports reviews and verifies claims and applications for contacts compiles and assembles information.
  • Receives telephone calls determines the nature of the calls directs callers to appropriate staff gives routine information concerning agency policy and procedures takes and distributes messages and directs visitors to proper personnel.
  • Maintains and organizes client appeal files records and reports documents pertinent to hearing maintains and organizes supervisor's administrative files containing performance evaluations confidential personnel files and invoices.
  • Provides clerical office support serves as back-up timekeeper in the timekeepers absence prepares and maintains time and attendance records and reports organizes and maintains timekeeping filing system.
  • Receives and distributes mail, manual releases, and memos.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
  • Requires two (2) years of related office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at a rate of 45 words per minute.
  • Requires ability to speak, read, and write Polish at a colloquial skill level.

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, 1-hour unpaid lunch.
