Job description

The 12th Judicial District Attorney's Office is seeking a reliable Legal Assistant with office and computer skills located in our Carrizozo Office. This position is ideal for an individual with experience in an office environment and works well with others as a member of the team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Incumbent requires knowledge of the criminal justice system, general office equipment; good typing, word processing skills and operational knowledge of spreadsheet programs. It also requires good math, grammar, proof-reading skills and have organizaional skills. As well as good customer relations skills and the ability to communicate effectively and follow directions and policies. The incumbent will be requried to maintain calendars; prepare and maintain case files. As well as perform data entry in the Case Management System (CMS) and also must have the ability and knowledge to merge documents and e-filing. Some preparation and drafting of legal documents my be required.
