Job Summary:

The Office Assistant trains, coaches, and develops cashiers to ensure customers receive outstanding and quick checkout service.ย  This is achieved by efficiently operating the registers, influencing and supporting the cashier team, expediting price checks, and identifying high-shrink items.ย  This position also involves assisting with the supervision and training of cashiers, taking over cashier duties as needed, and maintenance duties.ย  Office Assistants also support cashier development and accuracy by utilizing various tools.ย  Also provides administrative support to the Office Manager, requiring the ability to maintain discretion regarding confidential information and work independently in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:ย  Basic education that includes the ability to competently read and write.
  2. Training and Experience:ย  No training or experience is required, but cashier experience (typing, and keypunch skills) is preferred.
  3. Job Knowledge:ย  Must be able to count back change accurately.ย  Knowledge of cashier skills and the building industry is preferred.ย  Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
