The opportunity

The Sport Management Department is the second largest program within the School of Business at SNHU.Students in the department come out as well-rounded business students with an extensive knowledge of sport business, particularly in marketing, finance, media, law, and society. Graduates of the program receive jobs with professional sports teams, league offices, college campuses, sport retailers, and many more segments of the industry. SNHU has a unique culture, because of its strong connections with professional sport organizations.

The duty of the Office Assistant is to be an aid to the professors of the department in order to better serve the sport management students. Duties include organizing events, such as speaking panels, trips, and student projects with our major sponsors, and related sport businesses. The Office Assistant will be responsible for daily support tasks in the Sport Management office. Office Assistants are also expected to support additional School of Business and University College events related to the Sport Management Program.

Candidate will be present in the Sport Management Office area 2-3 days per week with scheduled hours to be determined (10-15 hours typical week from 8/31/26 to 4/23/27)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Organize events such as speaking panels, virtual trips, and student projects
  • Daily support tasks for the Sport Management Office
  • Provide support for School of Business and University College events related to the Sport Management Program
Minimum Qualifications
  • Enrolled in classes at SNHU
  • Federal Work-Study as part of the financial aid package
  • Self sufficient worker, who can work with limited guidelines
  • Willing to manage several projects at once and travel if needed
  • Ability to be highly organized and meet critical deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and electronically through email
  • Time management skills
  • Sport Event management and planning experience
  • General knowledge of and ability to support the research process
  • Computer and remote/virtual technology platform skills

Compensation
