About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This driver will work with roll-off and tractor trailers flat beds with forklift.

Shift: M-F, Occasional Saturdays 6AM-2:30PM (Job Type: Full-time) | Location: Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive different types of trucks, including tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
  • Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to traffic laws
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driverโ€™s License
  • 2 years of previous experience
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical and 7-year background check; which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle review
  • Must be able to verify and maintain accurate daily records
  • Be able to lift up to 65 lbs. and push/pull 200 lb. recycling containers

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Extensively use hands and fingers to manage or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
  • Having a good sense of balance
  • Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.

The physical demands described here are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Must be able to safely enter and exit a truck multiple times per day.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, and balance throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must have sufficient vision and hearing to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and perform inspections.
  • Must be able to perform vehicle inspections, including inspecting the underside of the truck and tires.
