Job Title: The POLAR EXPRESS™ Cast Member - Show Conductor
Division/Department: Branson Scenic Railway/Special Events
Reports To: Special Events, Concessions & Retail Manager
Type of Position: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Classification: Seasonal
Compensation: $20-$25/hour
Location: Branson, MO
 

Job Summary: THE POLAR EXPRESS™ is a licensed event through Rail Events Inc. and
Warner Brothers Studios. It is a theatrical show based on the movie THE POLAR EXPRESS™
that takes place on a moving train. THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Show Conductor character frequently
moves throughout the show to various locations engaging guests.
 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Engage and interact with guests as they arrive at the event, board the train, and as
they leave the event
• Follow script, memorize lines and remain in character throughout the event
• Dialogue must be memorized prior to first rehearsal – off book at first rehearsal
• Learn staging and microphone tracking
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Skill and Work Experience:

  • Prior acting experience required
  • Proven ability to act in front of live audience with a strong stage and vocal presence

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays required
  • Willing to work in cold, snowy or otherwise inclement winter weather
  • Able to walk in inclement and/or wintry weather and in low-light/nighttime environments
