Depending on the role, additional certifications like a boating license or maritime training may be required.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Ocean Ride position, and why are they important?

To excel as an Ocean Ride operator or guide, you need strong seamanship, knowledge of marine safety protocols, and, depending on the vessel, a relevant boating license or certification. Familiarity with navigation systems, radio equipment, and life-saving devices is usually required. Outstanding customer service skills, clear communication, and calmness under pressure will set you apart in this role. These abilities are critical not only for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for passengers but also for maintaining compliance with maritime regulations.
