Job description

An international freight forwarding company with offices worldwide that provides a wide range of business services and solutions in global logistics, trading/distribution, and supply chain management is seeking an entry-level International Logistics Sales / Account Representative for its office near Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

This is a 100% onsite, full-time contract-to-hire position. The role will be non-exempt during the contract period and exempt upon direct hire, with an excellent benefits package provided after hire.


Responsibilities – International Logistics Sales / Account Representative

During the Contract Period – Learn Operations for a Future Sales / Account Representative Role:

  • Compile master bills and break down consolidations into house air/ocean bills. Verify system-generated information against actual shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain shipment files by entering and updating data, including opening files, billing, issuing applicable forms and documents, and closing files in the online system.
  • Communicate clearly, promptly, and effectively with overseas offices, agents, customers, and domestic vendors. Responsibilities include notifying customers of shipment arrivals, distributing documentation, tracking shipment movement from origin to destination, arranging cargo release and delivery according to customer requirements, proactively providing shipment status updates, and handling shipment exceptions such as delayed flights or split shipments.
  • Support accounting processes within the break bulk department, including printing invoices, correcting rates, transferring fees, revising prepaid/collect charges, and filing claims for damaged goods.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

After Direct Hire:

  • Clearly articulate the company’s global logistics and supply chain capabilities, and prepare and deliver presentations explaining the company’s freight forwarding and logistics services to current and prospective customers.
  • Understand customers’ requirements and provide customized logistics solutions to meet their needs.
  • Negotiate costs, timelines, technical specifications, and related matters, and provide consultation as needed.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests and concerns.
  • Research and identify market opportunities and develop new customer relationships.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and share insights with the team to support process and service improvements.
  • Prepare and submit periodic sales reports and other required documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements – International Logistics Sales / Account Representative:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Logistics, International Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented and goal-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally to meet both internal and external customer needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural work environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • This position includes working in a warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, lift in excess of 30 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
