JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the multidisciplinary nursing team as well as providing professional nursing care and intervention to cardiovascular patient populations. The RN will deliver quality patient care by contributing to the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge. Specific responsibilities include: preparing an assessment of the patient's progress and keep the physician and family informed, monitoring pain management procedures, educating of patient and family, lead the discharge-planning process, ensuring current and accurate patient documentation, and delegating appropriately to ancillary staff members. This position requires providing nursing services to one or more age populations, including adult through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED:

  • 2-3 years RN experience.
  • BSN
  • Certification in specialty area when eligible

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

  • Possesses current State RN license.
  • Completes Basic Cardiology course within 6 months of hire.
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • 12 Lead EKG course within 1 year of hire.
  • Completion of annual skills validation.

PAY STATUS

  • Non-exempt hourly
